2016 Breakthrough Prize Symposium
The 2016 Breakthrough Prize Symposium was held November 9, 2015 at UC Berkeley and co-hosted by UC San Francisco and Stanford University.
The day of talks and discussions ended with three multidisciplinary panels moderated by Yuri Milner featuring 2016 Breakthrough Prize laureates and previous winners of the prize. The panelists explored three fundamental questions about the nature of our existence: What are the origins of life?, Why is the Universe comprehensible?, How does the human brain work?
The evening culminated with a banquet honoring winners of the New Horizons in Physics and Mathematics Prizes.
